An Ending

(before you start reading, play this in the background - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOgQyIMX_XU)

I started blogging because i felt it would give me a place where i can vent, and share my thoughts and feelings with whoever happens to stumble upon this blog. It's been great, having somewhere i can just give the world my full, unhindered and unbiased opinion on anything.

I started this blog in Kuwait, and that's where I intend on leaving it. I didn't really focus on current affairs in Kuwait or whatever, but it just doesn't feel right blogging somewhere else.

This is my last night in Kuwait, and plan on leaving only with memories, albeit good ones or bad ones. our memories are what define us. We are what we've been through. Each experience helped shape our lives, to what they're at now. I was going to delete the blog, but decided to keep it, so I can look back every now and then, to re-live (what seems like) ancient memories. A major thank you to anyone who's ever read any of my posts, and commented, you guys kept me going, even when I felt like giving up.

Memories may fade, but they never disappear. It's been great, but it's time to start a new chapter in my life. One with new people, a new lifestyle, and just a clean, brand new page of my life. Now for one final time,

Goodnight and peace out K-town.
it's been great.

Focus

A puzzle made of signs, obvious to find,
but searching for the truth, got be blind.
When life seems to be racing by, you never have time to consider your actions, you always want to keep up with everything, and everyone. When you set out to conquer something, the journey to that goal is never the way you plan it. The most important thing to remember is what you set out to be in the beginning. Your initial target, your motives, everything. Never forget where you came from, and always keep in mind where you're headed.

Always keep in mind how far you've come since the beginning of your journey.

Changes

Humans are sometimes lazy. We sometimes lack motivation for the most mundane things.

But when it comes to bigger changes, life-changing decisions. Who needs to take the first step? who needs to push themselves into their new (and hopefully improved) lifestyle?

You do

I've tried many times, and i'll be honest, it almost always fails. But we have to remember the time's that worked. I've tried it with everything, diets, stopping a bad habit, adopting a new one, everything. It rarely works, which lead me to think, why? It's because we dont push ourselves hard enough. Once we reach what we think is our maximum effort at that given time, we usually justify our quitting with many reasons, my main one is 'it's not that big a change, I dont really need it'

But when you think about it, if you really thought you need a change, you can't just quit. I've struggled before, i've failed before, but i've made it before too.

Moral of todays post, if you're trying to make a change (for the better), don't give up at the first obstacle, and never give up unless you've given it 110% of your effort. It always helps having someone there with you, you don't realize the importance or moral support until you really need it. Having someone there for you will always encourage you, you won't want to give up, you'll keep working towards your goal.

As unrealistic as your target may be, never say never, and remember,  when theres a will, there's a way - velle est posse

Airports

When you spend time in an airport, you'll realise that life never stops moving. New people arriving, others departing, it's a never-ending loop. If i've learnt anything from spending hours in airports;

Life goes on. People come and go, nothing seems to be capable of stopping it. Put this into application, you'll see that nothing can hold you back. Moments when you feel like quitting. Moments where you stop making an effort to live, and just let everything collapse.

The only reason you don't just take your life, is because subconsciously, part of you still believes in hope. part of you believes that it can get better. part of you believes life goes on.

Theres always hope, no matter how bad it may be (and i do mean that).

Existance

We sometimes have moments in our lives, where we just drop everything, pause, and take a moment to think. Moments like these we spend a few seconds, considering who we are, what we've done, and basically an external outlook on our lives. I've had these moments in the weirdest of places, but that split second of immense thought, proves to be the most serene. I once had a 'self--realization' moment in the middle of a party. There was loud music, flashing lights, the whole lot.

Those few seconds of trance, were enough to put my life into perspective. I stepped outside for a few minutes, away from the the noise and the distractions. I just thought to myself, what is life? We live, we die, it moves on. Is it better to live your life happy but with not many possessions, or unhappy with all the money and glory in the world? (and no, i wasn't high when I was thinking this)

I realized how insignificant and short, life really is. Make the most out of it, have fun, just don't completely throw away your future; after all, what's a life without happiness?

nothing

Now Or Never

"Seasons come and go
Nothing lasts forever
We're all on borrowed time
And love's not set in stone
But life is now or never"

Life is filled with crossroads; times where we have to stop, and take a moment to think. Those decisions often require a leap of faith. We've all been in situations, where we knew what we wanted to do, but weren't too sure of the outcome.

Most of the time, we're inhibited by the fear of negative consequences. The problem is every time we have an opportunity to do anything, we always hold back. We think that'll we'll solve it later, but before you know it, it's gone. Thats the point behind todays post: Now or never. If you don't take action when you have the chance to, then you've lost it for good.

And bear in mind: The regret of knowing you lost an opportunity, is far worse than the possible consequences. So next time you have a chance to do something, and you've decided what you want to do, don't hold back, don't hesitate, just do it, and remember, "whatever happens, happens for a reason"
